We are pleased to highlight an important event for stakeholders committed to advancing sustainable and energy-efficient industrial processes across Europe.
The SET Plan IWG-Industry 2025 Annual Event, titled “Towards highly efficient and sustainable energy use in European industries”, will take place on 2 June 2025 in Kraków, Poland, as part of the Polish Presidency Semester and within the framework of the Strategic Energy Technology (SET) Plan.
Organised by the SET-IndEU Secretariat, this annual gathering will showcase best practices from national and European stakeholders involved in the SET Plan’s Implementation Working Group on Industry. It will also feature perspectives from Polish representatives at both national and regional levels.
The programme includes two thematic panel sessions:
- Electrification and flexibility in industrial processes
- Circularity and Carbon Capture, Utilisation and Storage (CCUS)
A range of European-funded projects will be presented during the event, including those supported by the Clean Energy Transition (CETP) Partnership, the Processes4Planet (P4Planet) Partnership, and Horizon Europe Cluster 4. Topics covered include thermal energy storage, high-temperature steam systems, energy integration, waste heat recovery, and the application of industrial heat pumps – all with the aim of enhancing flexibility, efficiency, and sustainability in energy-intensive industries.
Registrations are now open – interested participants are encouraged to view the full agenda
This event will also be featured as a satellite session of EUIndTech 2025, the European Commission’s flagship conference on industrial technologies and materials. SET-IndEU and the SET Plan IWG-Industry will be present at a shared booth alongside other A.SPIRE projects.
The annual event offers a valuable opportunity for policy-makers, researchers, industry actors and project consortia to engage with one another and contribute to Europe’s industrial energy transition.
